Admission information
Admission to The Royal Ballet School of Antwerp is by audition only. Auditions are open to male and female students ages 12-19, who have achieved intermediate or advanced levels of ballet training.
Students seeking admittance to the year-round program are encouraged to audition for and attend the summer session.
All enrolled students are required to attend the full two-week program. Class scheduling and level placement are at the sole discretion of The Royal Ballet School of Antwerp. Limited scholarships are awarded at the sole discretion of the school.
Schedule:
Students will have a minimum of 20 classes per week, Monday through Friday. Classes are scheduled between the hours of 9.30a.m. and 4p.m..
The core curriculum includes ballet technique, pas de deux, pointe, variations and modern. As a part of their class work, students in the more advanced levels will learn selections from The Royal Ballet of Flanders unique and divers repertory. Students of all levels will have Master Classes taught by guest artists (TBA).
Program culminates in open house studio showings and performance workshops Aug. 20
Room and Board:
Room and board accommodations for students ages 12 and up are available at the dormitories located in the outskirts of Antwerp within approximately a 20 min. ride on the tram to the school.
Deurne Campus offers our students secure, well-maintained housing and meals.
Tuition and fees:
- Registration fee – 25 Euros ( 30 Dollars)
- 2-week tuition – 1.400 Euros
- 2-week room and board – 440 Euros
All payments must be paid in full by May 28, 2010
Dress code:
- Girls (all levels) black leotards, pink tights
- Boys (all levels) white t-shirt, black tights

Audition information
An application fee of 25 Euros (or $30 US) cash only, is due at the time of audition registration.
Girls must bring pointe shoes to the audition. Applicants should arrive at the location 30 min. in advance of the time scheduled for their age group in order to register.

DVD Audition:
Students who live outside of 300 kilometer (200 mile) radius of any audition tour city may audition by DVD.
DVD should portray the student in practice clothes (girls in leotards and tights; boys in t-shirt and tights) in a dance studio with 15 min. range of Barre, Center Exercise, Jumps and, for girls, pointe work.
The audition DVD must be accompanied by an application form and fee of 25 Euros ($30 US) in the form of an international money order payable to The Royal Ballet School of Antwerp.
Video applications must be postmarked by May 20th , 2010.
Notification:
Accepted students will be notified by phone or email within one week of their audition date. All further information about the registration process for the 2010 Summer Program will be via email.
